About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is soliciting offers for a Body, Valve component, classified under NAICS 332919 (Other Metal Valve and Pipe Fitting Manufacturing) and PSC code 4810 (Valves, Powered). This is a Critical Application Item (CAI) for which offerors must provide new unused stock from government-approved original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sources; offers from non-approved sources will be deemed technically unacceptable and ineligible for award. Key contract requirements include ISO 9001 or higher quality standards, a 12-month warranty with a 45-day discovery period for defects, compliance with Buy American and Free Trade Agreement regulations, and adherence to transportation of supplies by sea requirements. The contract will employ fixed-price inspection of supplies and includes provisions for value engineering, equal opportunity for veterans and workers with disabilities, and annual representations and certifications. The solicitation was posted on February 9, 2026, with a proposal due date of March 9, 2026, allowing 28 days for offerors to prepare and submit their proposals.

This solicitation uses no set-aside designations and does not identify any specific incumbent contractors or current contractors in the available documentation. The specific award value and quantity requirements are not disclosed in the solicitation notice provided. Payment will be processed through the Wide Area Workflow system using a combined Invoice and Receiving Report format, with documentation to be submitted electronically to Ashley.Walters@dla.mil. The place of performance and service timeline are not explicitly detailed in the solicitation excerpt; however, as this is a valve component procurement for Navy use, it will likely support military aviation operations. Prospective offerors should note that distributors of approved sources must submit copies of appropriate documentation and that this procurement emphasizes the integrity of unit pricing and compliance with federal procurement regulations.
