Source approval is mandatory for contract award, and contractors not currently approved as sources must submit source approval information in accordance with the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and is not limited to small businesses or other designated categories. No specific incumbent contractor is identified in this pre-solicitation notice, and no award value or budget range has been disclosed. The solicitation will be issued as a Basic Ordering Agreement, though specific quantities and service timelines are not detailed in this synopsis. The items being procured are subject to the Free Trade Agreements Act and the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement, which may impose restrictions on eligible suppliers. Interested contractors should note that the government will not delay award pending source approval completion, and while responses will be evaluated, the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed with competitive solicitation or award to a sole source.
