About this opportunity

The Bureau of Land Management, Idaho State Office, is seeking qualified sources to provide digital inventory services for approximately 12 million acres of abandoned mine land in Idaho, with capability statements due by June 23, 2026.

Work involves developing and maintaining a comprehensive database and mapping system to catalog and track abandoned mine sites, including their locations, characteristics, environmental conditions, and remediation status. The digital inventory system must support data management, geospatial analysis, and reporting functions to assist BLM in monitoring and managing these lands across Idaho.

The future contract will likely not include optional tasks, focusing instead on core inventory development and management capabilities. This pre-solicitation notice seeks capability information only; interested parties must submit a capability statement or similar documentation via email to Contracting Officer Charles Dodson (Charles_dodson@ios.doi.gov) by June 23, 2026. Submissions should include CAGE Code and/or UEI number and clearly identify small business or socioeconomic status. Pricing and quotes are not requested at this stage. The contracting officer will use submitted capability information to determine whether a small business set-aside is appropriate for the forthcoming solicitation.

All interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management and capable of receiving government contracts. No set-aside has been designated for this pre-solicitation notice.
