About this opportunity
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport, under the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice (RFISS-171) to identify contractors capable of performing building renovation services. The required work includes installation of new kitchen counters and a sink, as well as complete recarpeting of a conference room. Prospective contractors must demonstrate current Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 compliance at a level specified under DFARS 204.75 to be eligible for award consideration, with verification occurring through the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) following proposal submission. Respondents are required to complete and submit a Questionnaire for Industry document via email to john.p.gathu.mil@us.navy.mil by May 4, 2026. This is a voluntary market research effort, not a formal Request for Proposal, and the government assumes no financial responsibility for costs incurred in preparing responses. Contractors must adhere to Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements and are prohibited from including classified, controlled unclassified, or arms export controlled information in their submissions.
This pre-solicitation notice includes no set-aside designations for small businesses or other protected categories. No incumbent contractor or current service provider is identified in the available documentation. The notice does not specify an award value, budget range, or detailed timeline for service commencement beyond indicating that contractors should address setup timeline and service commencement estimates in their questionnaire responses. Respondents should identify applicable NAICS and FSC/PSC codes relevant to their capabilities and indicate their small business status. The government will not provide feedback on individual submissions and has not committed to issuing a formal solicitation based on responses received, though the questionnaire requests contractors' intent to submit a formal proposal should this requirement proceed to the solicitation stage.
