About this opportunity
The Utah Air National Guard, 151 MSG/MSC, at Roland R. Wright Air National Guard Base is issuing a Sources Sought notice to identify firms capable of designing, delivering, and installing a physical and visual safeguarding system to protect Building 210's backup generator, with responses due by July 2, 2026.
The notice is market research only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to contract. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct a future solicitation as full and open competition, a small business set-aside, or under specific small business programs based on responses received.
The system must protect the generator from emerging localized aerial threats, specifically denying visual reconnaissance and preventing kinetic damage from unmanned aerial systems with gross takeoff weight up to 20 lbs and/or kinetic explosive payload up to 50 lbs. Netting material must be UV-resistant, moisture-resistant, rust-resistant, fire-retardant, and withstand wind gusts up to 110 miles per hour, with a minimum five-year lifespan plus extended warranty coverage up to five additional years. The system shall provide personnel access for routine servicing, refueling, and emergency repairs without impeding generator airflow, exhaust, or cooling, and must fit within existing spatial constraints surrounding the generator pad (2'-11" x 8'-10") while avoiding interference with adjacent structures or thoroughfares.
Highly desirable innovative features include rapid deployment by four base personnel in under four hours with minimal heavy equipment reliance, camouflage or sensor denial/disruption capability, low lifecycle maintenance using environmentally resilient materials, and modularity enabling rapid field replacement and seamless future upgrade integration.
Responding firms must be US-based, able to access military installations, and registered in SAM. NAICS code 332618 applies; small business size standard is 500 employees. Submissions should address minimum and optional requirements, demonstrate relevant past projects of similar scope and complexity, and confirm installation capability based on provided site dimensions. Submit capabilities packages to Capt Jemimah Griggs (Jemimah.Griggs.1@us.af.mil) and MSgt Berkeley Ward (Berkeley.Ward@us.af.mil).
