About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is procuring a Blade, Compressor component (NSN 7H-2840-011222398-A1) under a pre-solicitation notice issued on November 6, 2025, with a response deadline of December 21, 2025. This procurement falls under PSC Category 2840 for Gas Turbines and Jet Engines, Aircraft, Prime Moving, and Components. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond or submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within the 45-day notice period. The approved source of supply is General Electric Company (CAGE code 07482), and the Government does not own the data or rights necessary to purchase or contract repair of this part from additional sources, as it has been determined uneconomical to buy such data or reverse engineer the part. Technical specifications and relevant military and federal standards are available through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia or via ASSIST-Online at http://quicksearch.dla.mil/.
This procurement requires delivery of 1,224 units with FOB Origin terms and carries no set-aside designation. General Electric Company is identified as the current approved source of supply, and interested parties should note that the Government's inability to obtain manufacturing data or rights makes this a single-source procurement action. The quantity requirement is substantial at 1,224 units, indicating a significant volume procurement. While no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the scale and technical nature of the requirement suggest considerable contract value. Potential contractors should obtain relevant technical documentation and Military and Federal Specifications from DODSSP or contact their help desk at 215-697-2667 or 215-697-2179 (DSN: 442-2667) to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and requirements.
