About this opportunity
Air Mobility Command is issuing a sources-sought notice for bird waste cleaning services at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, with responses due July 1, 2026. This procurement is set aside for total small business and does not constitute a commitment to award or issue a formal solicitation.
The work involves cleaning eight buildings and hangars (1751, 1757, 1817, 1837, 2251, 2253, 3209, and 3211) four times annually. The contractor must furnish all personnel, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, and transportation. Work is scheduled during standard 8-hour duty days (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday), though off-duty hours and weekend work may be required for special needs, particularly at Building 1757. The contractor must provide 24-hour advance notice to the Lead Facility Manager to schedule cleanings and notify building custodians of arrival times.
All contractor personnel require valid, federally compliant REAL ID Act identification credentials for installation access. The contractor is responsible for proper handling and disposal of hazardous bird droppings and materials. Cleaning requirements vary by facility and include removal of droppings from structural beams, walls, floors, railings, door tracks, and hangar bay areas. Building 3209 requires 24-hour advance notification to the KC-46 trainer manager to access hangar door tracks in the trainer area.
The contract period consists of a 12-month base year beginning October 1, 2026, plus four optional 12-month renewal periods through September 30, 2031. This notice is a reissuance following an inadvertent procurement-sensitive disclosure; previously responding vendors are encouraged to resubmit capability statements.
