About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring a bearing sleeve (NSN 7H-3120-012683116, TDP Version 005) for repair and modification purposes. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements to express their interest and capability. The procurement requires that all firms include their CAGE code on solicitation requests, and interested parties should consult Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, and Qualified Products Lists available through the DoD Single Stock Point in Philadelphia or via ASSIST-Online. Technical documents such as patterns, drawings, and purchase descriptions must be obtained separately through appropriate channels. The proposal due date is January 15, 2026, with a 45-day evaluation period following submission.

This procurement is not designated as a set-aside contract and carries no specific set-aside provisions. The requirement specifies a quantity of three units (3 AY) with delivery FOB Origin, though no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this notice. The government has determined that reverse engineering the part would be uneconomical and that acquiring data rights from alternative sources is not cost-effective, limiting the procurement to single-source negotiation. No incumbent contractor or current vendor information is provided in the pre-solicitation notice. Interested firms should reference NSN 7H-3120-012683116 and maintain a current CAGE code registration to facilitate communication with the contracting office regarding this repair and modification requirement.
