About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 10 units of ball bearings (NSN 3H-3110-010447290-NT) through this pre-solicitation notice. The procurement requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain part quality, and the approved sources retain essential data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data not economically available to the Government. Contractors must possess existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing/repair knowledge, with alternate sources required to qualify through design control activity procedures approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The delivery terms specify FOB origin, and interested parties can obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia or via ASSIST-Online. The due date for this opportunity is September 8, 2025, with the notice posted on August 5, 2025.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations, making it open to all qualified contractors who can meet the stringent source approval requirements. The contract calls for a quantity of 10 each of the specified ball bearings under part number 3H-3110-010447290-NT with TDP version 019. No incumbent contractors or current suppliers are specifically mentioned in the notice, though the requirement for existing approved sources suggests there are likely pre-qualified manufacturers. The procurement falls under PSC category 3110 for bearings, antifriction, unmounted, and no specific contract value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase. The technical data package version 019 indicates this is an established part with detailed specifications already developed.
