The proposed contract action will be solicited and negotiated with potentially only one source under FAR 6.302-1, though all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond. Interested parties must submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the publication date (30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract opportunity. The procurement is for Radio Navigation Equipment categorized under PSC 5826-P, with the government explicitly stating they will not use FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition. Interested parties have 15 days to identify potential commercial item solutions to the contracting officer. The total procurement quantity is 96 units, with delivery expected at the government's origin point. While no specific award value is disclosed, the technical complexity of the beacon transmitter assembly suggests this could be a significant contract. The solicitation was initially posted on October 3, 2024, with responses due by December 18, 2024, providing potential vendors approximately 2.5 months to prepare their submissions.
