About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking to procure vehicular guide bars (NSN: 2540017063324, P/N: 12596500) under a total small business set-aside contract. This pre-solicitation notice indicates that the upcoming formal solicitation will incorporate DLAD provision 52.215-9023, which authorizes the use of a reverse auction as a pricing technique to determine final contract pricing. Contractors interested in participating in any reverse auction must register in the reverse auction system prior to the event and ensure that their representative completes mandatory online reverse auction training beforehand. Additional information regarding reverse auction registration, training requirements, and system access is available at https://dla.procurexinc.com. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on January 26, 2026, with an anticipated solicitation closing date of April 13, 2026.

The contract carries a total small business set-aside designation, restricting eligibility to certified small business concerns. The procurement calls for a quantity of forty units with firm fixed pricing, with delivery on a free on board (FOB) destination basis. An option for an additional one hundred units is included in the contract structure, allowing for potential expansion of the order if exercised by the government. The contract falls under NAICS code 336390 (Other Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturing) and PSC code 2540 (Vehicular Furniture and Accessories), classifying this as a manufacturing opportunity for specialized automotive component suppliers.
