About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is soliciting quotes for the procurement of plastic bags under solicitation number SPMYM225Q2001. The agency requires 1,000 boxes of black polyethylene plastic bags with specific dimensions (26" wide x 56" long x 4 mil thick with 24" side gusset), manufactured by Strout Plastics Inc. and identified by National Stock Number 8105-LL-S05-0242. Each box must contain 50 single-wall polyethylene bags, and contractors must provide manufacturer specifications, country of origin information, and lead time details. Offerors must complete the entire solicitation and return it signed via email or fax, with incomplete submissions being disqualified. The quote submission deadline is 2:00 PM on June 18, 2025, with contract award anticipated by June 16, 2025, and vendors must comply with NIST SP 800-171 requirements unless the items qualify as Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products.
This procurement is set aside exclusively for HUBZone small businesses, limiting competition to certified companies within these designated economically distressed areas. The solicitation does not specify award values or budget ranges, focusing instead on the technical specifications and delivery requirements. The contract requires delivery of the 1,000 boxes by July 21, 2025, to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. The relatively short timeline from solicitation posting to quote submission (two days) and the specific manufacturer requirement suggest this may be a brand name or equivalent procurement. Vendors must also provide proof of technical acceptability if requested and follow detailed packaging, marking, and delivery specifications outlined in the solicitation documents.
