About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure two units of a backup flight display, identified by National Stock Number 7R-6610-016207799-E7. The proposed contract action will be negotiated with a single source under FAR 6.302-1, though all responsible sources may express interest in responding to the requirement. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements, with a potential reduction to 30 days if the award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement. Potential vendors can obtain necessary specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via various methods, including online access or direct contact with their document services.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations for this procurement. The delivery is specified as FOB Origin, with early and incremental deliveries being acceptable. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the notice, though the quantity is clearly defined as two units. The procurement is categorized under PSC Category 6610-P for Flight Instruments, suggesting this is a specialized technical equipment acquisition. Potential vendors have 15 days to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item. The final proposal due date is January 30, 2025, providing ample time for interested contractors to prepare and submit their responses. The contracting officer retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the proposed contract based on the responses received.
