About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center intends to solicit repair services for the Enhanced Pre-Processor Avionics Control Unit (PACU) Replacement Computer (EPRC) Line Replaceable Unit, with responses due by July 5, 2026. This procurement is restricted to Lockheed Martin Corporation under the sole-source authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), justified on grounds that supplies required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The EPRC is a critical computing component within the AN/ALQ-161A Electronic Warfare (EW) system mounted on B-1B aircraft. The requirement encompasses both the legacy configuration (NSN: 5865-01-562-6911, Part Number 293A770-1) and the DSU upgraded configuration (NSN: 5865-01-708-9287, Part Number 353A100-1). The AN/ALQ-161A system continuously detects, identifies, and applies radio frequency jamming to counter radar threats across various frequency ranges, displays threat signals and situational awareness to aircrew on a priority basis, and provides logistical support to using command activities.
The procurement will follow FAR Part 15 procedures. Solicitation documents will be available exclusively through SAM.gov; no hard copies will be issued. Though this is a sole-source procurement restricted to Lockheed Martin, the notice invites all responsible sources to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations within thirty days of publication for government consideration; however, the government retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete the contract based on responses received.
