About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking a contractor for Teardown/Test/Evaluation (TT&E) and repair of Axial Impeller Fans, which are critical internal components of the A/M32C-10C Aircraft Ground Support Air Conditioner. These specialized components are used for cooling and heating aircraft equipment, cargo, and personnel during ground servicing and avionics checkout for F15, F16, and other aircraft. The pre-solicitation notice specifically references NSN 4140-01-127-4674RN and multiple fan variants (100526-1, 100526-2, and 100526-3). While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the notice, the procurement falls under the NAICS category 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing and the PSC category J059 for maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment components. The current opportunity was posted on June 4, 2025, with responses due by June 19, 2025.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations, suggesting the opportunity is open to a broad range of qualified contractors. No incumbent contractors are mentioned in the document. The procurement is for a defense agency, specifically the Air Force Sustainment Center, which suggests potential complexity and rigorous technical requirements for the Axial Impeller Fan repair and evaluation services. The contract will involve working with specific aircraft ground support equipment, focusing on air conditioning units critical for F15 and F16 aircraft maintenance. While exact award values are not specified, the technical nature of the work and the specialized NSN-tracked components suggest this could be a high-value, technically demanding contract opportunity requiring sophisticated maintenance and repair capabilities.
