Update #1 ·

Non-personal services. The Contractor shall furnish facilities, labor, services, and supplies (not otherwise furnished by the Government) necessary to provide data acquisition, technical writing, librarian services, and media specialists, for Deseret Chemical Depot in Tooele, Utah. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 541513 is applicable to this acquisition. Award of a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract will be made on a lowest price technically acceptable (LTPA) basis. Services will be solicited and awarded as a Commercial Item using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The proposed award will consist of one base period of performance and up to three (3) optional periods of performance. The entire solicitation package will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. All responsible sources may at that time submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Requests for copies of the solicitation package by any other means will not be honored. It is estimated that solicitation W912DY-11-T-0118 will be issued on or around 18 March 2011 and no award is expected to be made until April of 2011. Pursuant to FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Contractors are encouraged to obtain further information on CCR registration at the following website: http://www.ccr.gov/. This announcement does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs. If a contract does result from this solicitation, the anticipated start date of the base year is 02 May 2011.

NOTE: No telephonic or written information will be provided in response to this pre-solicitation notice posting. The 18 March response date was only used to satisfy Fedbizopps posting requirements since www.FBO.gov uses this date to calculate the archive date for posted documents. Vendor action is not required in response to this pre-solicitation notice but will be required once the actual solicitation is posted (which could be before or after the stated date). Therefore vendors are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website for the solicitation package and any subsequent amendments pertaining to this requirement.
