About this opportunity

The US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) is seeking potential sources to enhance autonomous aerial delivery capabilities through a Sources Sought Announcement. The agency is specifically interested in technologies for developing, modernizing, and maturing aerial delivery systems for contested environment use-cases. Key contract requirements include developing prototypes of aerial delivery system enhancements, conducting flight and environmental testing, providing hardware subject matter expert support, and upgrading existing systems to accommodate new sensors and electronic hardware. Interested parties must submit a Broad Other Transaction Authority Announcement (BOTAA) preproposal via email to ekaterina.s.kuhlwein.civ@army.mil and jean.m.trumpis.civ@army.mil by January 28, 2025, at 1700 EST. Questions for clarification must be submitted by January 24, 2025, with the understanding that this is an informational announcement and not a formal solicitation.

This Sources Sought Announcement does not include any specific set-aside designations and currently has no funding available. No contract will be awarded directly from this announcement, and it serves purely as a market research tool to identify potential sources and capabilities. Respondents are required to provide their business size, socioeconomic status, NAICS code, and CAGE code when submitting their preproposal. The opportunity is categorized under NAICS code 541330 (Engineering Services) and PSC code 1670 (Parachutes; Aerial Pick Up, Delivery, Recovery Systems; And Cargo Tie Down Equipment). All submissions will become government property and will not be returned, and potential respondents are advised that no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement.
