About this opportunity

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is conducting market research for an Automation and Orchestration Platform (AOP) solution. The AOP must provide robust capabilities for rapidly prototyping, building, testing, expanding, and maintaining complex automated workflows and integrations across the USPTO's applications, both on-premise and cloud-based. Key requirements include strong access controls, change management and version control, the ability to easily integrate with any API-enabled product or service, and tools for debugging and testing automations individually.

The USPTO is employing a multi-staged market research approach, beginning with this industry survey, followed by live product demonstrations, identification of vendors to participate in an alternative competition, and then the issuance of solicitations and contract awards. Responses to the RFI are due by May 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM EDT. The USPTO has not set a specific budget or anticipated award value, but notes the total expected spend is below the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000. The agency reserves the right to issue multiple solicitations based on the results of this market research.
