About this opportunity
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking sources to provide atmospheric research air sampling survey flights from an offshore location on the Atlantic Coast of New Hampshire. The vendor will be required to have general familiarity with aircraft-based instrumentation and equipment, as well as sampling protocols for the collection and measurement of trace gas compounds in the atmosphere. The vendor will need to carry out the flights, coordinate with NOAA for shipment of equipment and samples, and provide local support during NOAA maintenance site visits. The flights will typically be 3-4 hours, starting at approximately 25,000 ft. and descending to 1,000-3,000 ft. above ground level. The scheduling of the flights will depend on weather, funding, and NOAA's research requirements.
This pre-solicitation notice is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a commitment by the government to award a contract.
