About this opportunity
NASA Headquarters seeks a partner entity to oversee planning, logistics, and program content development for the Astrobiology Science Conference 2026, with proposals due July 31, 2026 at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time. This is a non-reimbursable partnership agreement (no exchange of funds).
Place of performance is Washington, DC. The partner will support an international conference serving over 1,000 members of the astrobiology research community, including researchers funded by NASA, the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and Department of Energy, and disseminates results of federally funded astrobiology research. The conference is biennial and draws participation from national space programs of other countries.
Proposals from non-U.S. entities submitted alone or jointly with a U.S. entity will not be considered. NASA explicitly states it is not seeking to partner with entities primarily in the event planning or logistics business, signaling that the selected partner should contribute substantive scientific or research community value beyond operational support. The NAICS code is 54171, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences; the PSC code is AR11, Space R&D Services and Basic Research.
All proposals must be submitted via NSPIRES (NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System) at https://nspires.nasaprs.com by searching solicitation number NNH26ZDA009L. Proposers are responsible for monitoring NSPIRES for amendments and downloading their own copies of documents. Technical questions should be directed to Rebecca McCauley Rench at rebecca.l.mccauleyrench@nasa.gov.
