About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Materiel Command is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Notice for custom-designed cabinetry to replace existing installations in the Armistice Room at a USFK (U.S. Forces Korea) facility. The procurement requires a vendor to provide eight free-standing cabinets (four along each wall) measuring 2140 mm long, 1150 mm tall, and 50 mm deep, constructed from solid hardwood or high-quality wood veneer with specific design requirements including angled tops, storage compartments, and soft-closing hinges. The contractor must also remove and dispose of existing memorial book cabinetry and low-level display tables in accordance with Korean waste disposal laws, then deliver and install the new cabinetry as a complete unit. Interested vendors must provide company information, capacity details, and general pricing structure, along with color and finish samples during site visits. All responses must be submitted electronically to chanelys.y.martinez.mil@army.mil by July 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM KST, with the subject line "Sources Sought Notice - USFK Armistice Room: Cabinetry."
This opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified vendors. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the notice, and no specific award values or budget ranges are disclosed as part of this preliminary market research phase. The project involves manufacturing and installing exactly eight custom cabinets in a room measuring 8687 mm deep by 3835 mm wide, with each cabinet featuring two equally sized storage compartments and fixed shelving approximately 375 mm above the base. The cabinetry must be finished with dark mahogany or walnut stain to complement the existing black lacquer Armistice signing table, and all materials require a satin to medium-gloss finish. The timeline indicates this is solely an informational gathering phase, with no commitment to award a contract, and the government emphasizes that responses are voluntary and no funds are available for preparation costs.
