About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security Office of Procurement Operations issued a Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice for Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services throughout Louisiana, awarded on a noncompetitive basis to Paragon Systems, Inc. on October 31, 2025. The justification for the sole source procurement was to provide continuity of critical security services while allowing adequate time to close the current solicitation, complete evaluation of bids for a follow-on contract, and execute a smooth transition to the new service provider. The contract modification extends the existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with Paragon Systems, Inc., located in Herndon, Virginia, for an eight-month period from November 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The specific award amount was not disclosed in the notice, though task orders will be issued only for the duration necessary, not to exceed the eight-month extension period. This action falls under NAICS code 561612 (Security Guards and Patrol Services) and PSC code S206 (Housekeeping-Guard), reflecting the security-focused nature of the services being procured.
Notice text
The Federal Protective Service Acquisition Division has procured Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services on a noncompetitive basis to Paragon Systems, Inc. (13900 Lincoln Park Drive, Suite 300, Herndon, VA 20171-4634) for up to eight (8) months, November 01, 2025, through June 30, 2026, to allow time to close the solicitation, award the follow-on contract, and provide adequate time for transition. This action resulted in a modification to extend the ordering period of the existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract to allow placement of a task order to continue critical PSO services for the state of Louisiana. Task order(s) will only be issued under this contract for the necessary length of time required, but not to exceed eight (8) months. As such, this extension will allow time to complete the solicitation and award as well as provide an adequate transition period to the new effort for this requirement.
Awarded contract 70RFP420DE7000003 to unknown vendor for unknown amount on 2025-10-31.
