About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 43 units of a military-specific pallet identified by NSN 7R-1680-016338682-P8, with delivery specified as FOB Origin. The proposed contract action intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources are invited to demonstrate their capability to respond to the requirement. Interested parties can obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, using online resources like ASSIST-Online or by contacting their help desk. The government will consider proposals received within 45 days of the synopsis publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement), with final competitive determination solely at the government's discretion. Technical documentation and specifications can be accessed through various methods, including online download, mail request, or direct contact with document services.
This pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for the procurement, and the estimated contract value is not disclosed in the documentation. The procurement is categorized under Product Service Code 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components, suggesting specialized equipment requirements. While the exact award value remains undefined, the procurement involves a relatively small quantity of 43 units, pointing to a potentially limited-scope contract. The government has explicitly stated that commercial item policies from FAR Part 12 will not be utilized in this solicitation, and interested commercial vendors have 15 days to identify their capability to meet the requirement. The proposed contract is structured to allow maximum flexibility for the government in source selection, with a clear emphasis on meeting specific military specification standards for the requested pallet units.
