About this opportunity

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Philadelphia intends to procure 14 units of APS Pallets (NSN 7R-1680-016338682-P8, Part Number 212A4002-7) on a sole source basis from The Boeing Company. The procurement falls under the Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components category and will utilize FAR Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures. Boeing is identified as the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only known source capable of providing repair support for this specialized aircraft component, as the Government does not own the data rights necessary to purchase from alternative sources. All responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations within 45 days of the notice publication date, though the procurement is expected to be awarded to Boeing due to source approval requirements. Electronic procedures will be used exclusively for this solicitation, with the RFP to be posted on NECO, and interested organizations must submit qualifications via email to the designated Navy contracting officer.

This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and targets Boeing Company (CAGE Code 81205) as the incumbent and expected awardee given their OEM status. The procurement specifies delivery FOB origin for the 14-unit quantity of aircraft pallets, with an anticipated award date of May 2024. Any firm not already approved to manufacture this material must submit a Source Approval Request, though the procurement timeline will not be delayed to accommodate SAR approval processes. The contract falls under NAICS code 336413 and Federal Supply Classification 1680, indicating specialized aircraft equipment manufacturing requirements. While no specific contract value is disclosed in the notice, the specialized nature of the Boeing-manufactured aircraft components and the 14-unit quantity suggest a significant procurement value for these critical aircraft support systems.
