Added: Oct 14, 2010 11:30 am The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to BAE Systems, Nashua, NH for supplies and/or services necessary to procure Engineering Support Services and Logistics Support Services required to resolve issues discovered during testing, integration support, product improvement programs, to implement expanded capabilities, and procure required APKWS II Logistics documentation, interim depot repair support, and required programmatic support that are outside of the LRIP contract. These services are required to support the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) Program. It is anticipated that the resultant BOA shall contain Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost Reimbursable type line items. Orders shall be issued on an individual basis and shall be synopsized in accordance with FAR 5.2. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) BAE Systems is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the WGU-59/B APKWS, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience and tooling to perform the efforts described herein, in order to satisfy the government’s requirement. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) codes for the supplies and/or services anticipated herein are 541330 and 541614.
