About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Norfolk at Norfolk Naval Shipyard is seeking to procure two types of anti-rotation rings manufactured by Curtiss-Wright through a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Contract. Specifically, the solicitation (SPMYM125Q0028) requires 2 units of part number 6059289-001 and 4 units of part number 6059518-001, with a strict requirement that all items must be new and not from the grey market. The initial solicitation was set as a small business set-aside under NAICS code 332119, with a size standard of 500 employees, though an amendment later changed this to an unrestricted competition. Potential offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and submit their proposals electronically to LaTasha Pearson by 1:00 PM EST on January 22, 2025. The government will evaluate proposals based on standard commercial item procurement guidelines outlined in FAR Part 13 and FAR Subpart 12.6.

The contract is located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA, with an anticipated delivery timeline of 420 days after receipt of order for both contract line items (CLINs). While no specific budget range was disclosed, the procurement is classified under Product Service Code 5325 for Fastening Devices. The solicitation explicitly prohibits materials from specific vendors like NUFLO, Inc. and Synergy Flow Systems, and requires that offerors self-certify that their corporate officials are not suspended or debarred from federal contracting. By amendment issued on January 15, 2025, the original small business set-aside was removed, opening the competition to all qualified vendors. Potential contractors must ensure compliance with all solicitation requirements, including proper email submission with the solicitation number in the subject line and adherence to all specified technical and administrative conditions.
