About this opportunity
The United States Air Force Materiel Command Test Center is conducting market research to identify sources capable of providing original-equipment-manufacturer-certified replacement parts and factory calibration and diagnostic services for next-generation anthropomorphic test devices, with responses due October 16, 2026. The Air Force currently believes this requirement may be a sole-source acquisition under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) to Humanetics Innovative Solutions, Inc. (Humanetics), the OEM.
This sources sought notice seeks to identify whether other qualified businesses or non-OEM suppliers possess requisite proprietary design rights, technical data, certifications, and capabilities to fulfill the requirements, or whether commercial or non-developmental alternatives exist. The prospective contractor must deliver fully compatible, precision-engineered replacement parts and specialized factory calibration and diagnostic services. Responses to this market research will be used solely for acquisition planning and will not constitute a binding solicitation; the Government will not award a contract based on this notice or reimburse respondents for preparation costs. Participation is voluntary, and failure to respond does not preclude participation in any future competitive solicitation. The procurement is not designated as a small business set-aside.
