About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure antennas under NSN 0R-5985-016948483-QF, specifically requiring 3 units with delivery FOB origin. The procurement falls under the Antennas, Waveguides, And Related Equipment category and is structured as a sole source acquisition under FAR 6.302-1 authority, meaning the government intends to negotiate with only one source. However, the notice allows all responsible sources to express interest and submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of publication (30 days if under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). Interested parties can obtain relevant military specifications, standards, and qualified products lists through the DoD Single Stock Point or ASSIST-Online at http://quicksearch.dla.mil/. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed with competitive solicitation based on responses received, and this notice specifically states it is not a request for competitive proposals.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designation, making it open to all eligible contractors regardless of size or socioeconomic status. The opportunity involves a quantity of 3 antenna units as specified in the reference number 2556268-500, with the due date extending to October 17, 2025, providing an extended timeline for potential responses and contract execution. No specific incumbent contractors, award values, or budget ranges are disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The procurement appears to be a straightforward supply contract with standard delivery terms, and the extended response period suggests the government may be allowing considerable time for market research and potential source development activities.
