About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is conducting market research to identify potential manufacturers and approved sources for antenna components identified under National Stock Number (NSN) 5985-01-551-9607. The agency seeks to establish a long-term contract for three antenna variants currently produced by three different manufacturers: Trival Antene D.O.O. (CAGE code 1003Q, part number AD-44/CW-AH2), L3Harris Technologies, Inc. (CAGE code 14304, part number 12011-2700-01), and R. A. Miller Industries, Inc. (CAGE code 05211, part number HB0809B). Companies interested in becoming approved sources must submit an application package through the DLA Land and Maritime Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program, which requires comprehensive technical documentation demonstrating that their manufacturing capability is equal to or superior to the current original equipment manufacturers. The evaluation criteria emphasize product quality and manufacturing capability equivalence. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on April 17, 2026, with a response deadline of April 24, 2026, allowing potential suppliers five business days to submit information to the contracting officer, Zachary Mullins, at Zachary.mullins@dla.mil.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and involves three incumbent suppliers currently approved to manufacture the antenna items. The estimated annual demand is 1,380 units, classified under NAICS code 334220 (Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC code 5985 (Antennas, Waveguides, and Related Equipment). While a specific contract award value has not been disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the accompanying market research questionnaire indicates the anticipated long-term contract structure includes a three-year base period with optional single-year extensions and will require cost or pricing data submissions for contracts estimated over $2,000,000. The questionnaire requests supplier feedback on pricing structures, quantity price breaks, production capabilities, and minimum delivery order quantities to inform the final acquisition strategy. Interested contractors should note that the preliminary market research phase is designed to develop a comprehensive acquisition strategy before the formal solicitation is released.
