About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a full and open competitive solicitation for the production of a modernized AN/SRQ-4 radio terminal set system. Support includes eliminating obsolete analog interfaces, modernizing to meet cybersecurity requirements for Aegis Baseline 10 and beyond, and maximizing interoperability by supporting Band Efficient - Common Data Link and Crypto Core Modernization. The upcoming five year contract will include CLINs for development of production units, associated engineering services, and incidental materials. The formal solicitation is expected to be issued electronically via beta.sam.gov in Q4 FY21, with offerors able to submit written questions after and instructions for question submittal contained within the solicitation.
No set-aside will be used. The Government intends this to be a full and open competition. Specific NAICS/PSC codes were not provided, however this notice indicates production of radio terminal equipment for naval vessels. Potential incumbents were not identified but the modernization support described indicates the Government seeks continuity from experienced contractors. The value and quantity were also not disclosed but the five year period and inclusion of production, engineering, and materials CLINs suggests this could be a sizable opportunity.
