About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has issued a Sources Sought notice seeking market research and industry input for product support, supplies, and services related to Navy surface ship Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems, specifically the AN/SQQ-89(V). The solicitation covers comprehensive support across multiple naval platforms including cruisers, destroyers, frigates, foreign military sales partner platforms, and shore-based sites. Key functional areas include Integrated Logistics Support, Training, and Anti-Submarine Warfare Virtual Operator Trainer (ASW VOT), with a focus on maintenance support, technical documentation, system configuration management, and lifecycle sustainment. Interested contractors must submit unclassified responses by June 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST, limited to six single-sided pages detailing company qualifications, experience with government organizations, and capabilities in handling classified information. The RFI aims to gather comprehensive industry insights to inform potential future contract opportunities.
This pre-solicitation notice does not have a specific set-aside designation and is open to a broad range of potential contractors, with small businesses encouraged to participate. While no specific award value or budget range is explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the support requirements suggests a significant potential contract scope. The solicitation covers multiple naval platforms and involves complex technical systems, indicating a potentially substantial multi-year contract opportunity. Responses must include administrative information, technical capabilities, and recommendations for improving industry engagement. The market research phase does not guarantee a subsequent solicitation, and the government will not reimburse respondents for their submission efforts. Contractors interested in participating should carefully review the detailed requirements in Attachment 1 of the RFI and prepare their responses accordingly.
