Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, New Jersey, intends to modify Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, N68335-14-D-0033, with Danko Arlington, Inc., located at 4800 E Wabash Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215-5583, to increase the maximum quantity ceiling of AN/SPN-41B Cast and Machined components. This contract is for the production of a functioning AN/SPN-41B Transmitting Set, Aircraft Approach Control to be used on Aircraft Carrier Nuclear (CVN) and Amphibious Assault Ship (LHA/LHD) Class ships of the U.S. Navy, as well as Queen Elizabeth (QE) class ships of the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain. This increase to the maximum quantity ceiling of AN/SPN-41B Cast and Machined components from nine (9) units to thirteen (13) units will allow the Government to procure sufficient quantities of this unit to sustain current mission requirements.
The Government intends to increase the maximum quantity ceiling under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. Because of the immediate need and constrained schedule, this is a one-time increase. It is anticipated that all future requirements shall be competed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Point of Contact is Mrs. Danielle DiLorenzo, Phone: (732) 323-7067, E-mail: danielle.dilorenzo@navy.mil.
