Notice text
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for technology/component updates to keep the Airbus 320/330 and Boeing 737-800 operational and certified as Full Motion Level D aircraft simulators, along with updates to the aircraft Flight Management System (FMS,) along with software to ensure they are representative of the U.S. air carrier fleet.
The requirement is for a three-year base period and includes option provisions to renew for two (2) additional 1-year periods, to be exercised at the sole discretion of the FAA. The FAA intends to negotiate solely with CAE, Quebec, Canada, in accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.2.4.
A market analysis was posted on the FAA Contract Opportunities web site on July 14, 2017. The results of this survey supported the determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm.
