About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing the AN/ALR-69A Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) C/J Band Antennas, NSN: 5958-01-559-3089EW, PN: 948-00537-002. This one-time procurement in FY25 is intended to transition ownership of the system to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The government does not own the drawings or data rights necessary to compete this effort, which are proprietary to the current sole manufacturer, Meggitt-USA (Baltimore) Inc. The AFSC is requesting information on respondents' capabilities, experience, and approach to manufacturing these antennas, which are used with the RWR to provide crew notification of threat radar signals. Responses are due by 4:00 PM Eastern on September 24, 2024, and the government will not reimburse participants for any expenses.

This procurement is not set aside for any small business categories. Historically, there has been only one manufacturer for this specific NSN. The responsible engineering authority that originally qualified the source is Meggitt (Baltimore) Inc., which retains the technical data rights and drawings for this item. The government does not own or have access to the data for this item.
