About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is seeking to procure various components for the AN/ALR-56M Radar Warning Receiver System through a pre-solicitation notice. The procurement includes eight different types of electronic components ranging from receiver sets and controllers to interface assemblies and channelizer units, all critical to the radar warning receiver system's functionality. The government intends to negotiate with only one source, BAE Systems of Totowa, New Jersey, under 10 USC 23094(c)(1), though interested parties may identify their capability to respond to the requirement. The solicitation SPRWA1-25-R-0008 will be structured as a firm-fixed price requirements contract covering a six-year contract period. Interested vendors have 45 days from the June 2, 2025 publication date to submit proposals, or 30 days if an award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement, with the response deadline falling on June 17, 2025.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is classified under NAICS code 334419 for Other Electronic Component Manufacturing. BAE Systems, identified by CAGE code 81413, is positioned as the sole intended contractor for this acquisition, though the government retains discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received. The contract will span six ordering periods with specific quantities outlined in the attached synopsis spreadsheet for each component type. The procurement is not being processed under commercial item acquisition policies, and drawings or technical data are not available from the procuring activity. Vendors interested in demonstrating commercial item capability have only 15 days from the notice publication to contact the contracting officer, significantly shorter than the standard 45-day response window.
