About this opportunity
The Department of the Army intends to issue a Request for Proposal under FAR 6.302-1 for Systems Technical Services and Systems Sustainment Technical Services (STS/SSTS) supporting the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) and M113 Family of Vehicles. The comprehensive services include engineering support, logistics, risk management, configuration management, cybersecurity, quality assurance, technical manual development, fielding support, and facility vehicle maintenance among numerous other technical capabilities. The procurement will support Project Manager Mounted Armored Vehicles (PM MAV) with critical ongoing services for these military vehicle platforms. The Technical Data Package is source controlled by BAE Systems and deemed non-competitive, though all responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for agency consideration. The response deadline for this pre-solicitation notice is August 29, 2025, with the original posting date of August 13, 2025.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and appears targeted toward BAE Systems Land & Armaments, L.P. (CAGE #80212) as the intended sole source contractor. The estimated scope involves 1,790,183 hours of technical services over the contract performance period. The government plans to award a new 5-year contract structured with five one-year ordering periods, providing flexibility for ongoing vehicle support requirements. The procurement falls under NAICS code 541330 for Engineering Services and PSC code K010 for Modification of Equipment-Weapons, reflecting the technical engineering nature of the vehicle sustainment work. While specific dollar values are not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the substantial hour estimate and multi-year contract structure suggest a significant investment in maintaining these critical military vehicle systems.
