About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 13 units of an amplifier (NSN 7H-5996-015026330-VN) that requires repair or modification. The government currently does not own the data or rights to the part, and has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase the data rights or reverse engineer the component. Interested parties may obtain relevant specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) using online resources like ASSIST-Online or by contacting their help desk. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1, but will consider proposals received within 45 days of the synopsis publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, though the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the procurement.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract opportunity. The procurement is subject to potential Free Trade Agreements and may involve Buy American Act considerations, as indicated by potential DFARS clauses 252.225-7036 and 252.225-7021. The specific contract is categorized under Product Service Code 5996 for Amplifiers, with the procurement focusing on a technical data package (TDP) version 004. Delivery is specified as FOB Origin, suggesting the supplier will be responsible for initial transportation. While no specific award value is mentioned, the quantity of 13 units suggests a focused, potentially specialized procurement. The opportunity was posted on May 28, 2025, with responses due by June 30, 2025, providing approximately 33 days for potential contractors to prepare and submit their capabilities or proposals.
