About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is procuring electronic amplifiers (NSN 5996-01-582-7251) for use in controlling turbine discharge temperature on J-85 aircraft engines. This firm fixed-price contract involves the supply of spare parts for the United States Air Force, with no specific qualification requirements mandated for interested contractors. The solicitation will be issued on April 20, 2026, with a response deadline of May 20, 2026, providing interested parties approximately one month to prepare and submit proposals. While evaluation criteria have not been detailed in this pre-solicitation notice, the contract action is being conducted as a single-source procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), indicating the Government intends to negotiate with only one source. The critical deadline for potential contractors to submit questions or seek clarification is April 18, 2026, which marks the end of the pre-solicitation period.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation and indicates RSL Electronics USA, Inc., a large business, as the qualified source with a demonstrated history of supplying this item to the Government. The contract calls for a best estimated quantity of 128 units, with an acceptable quantity range between 32 and 192 units, all required for delivery by December 15, 2026, to DLA Distribution Depot Oklahoma at Tinker Air Force Base. The amplifier units have specific dimensional requirements (12.0 inches in length, 6.0 inches in width, 3.0 inches in height, and 10 pounds in weight) and must comply with Unique Identification (UID) requirements. No export control restrictions apply to this procurement, and the Government's obligation is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds.
