Update #6 · Latest ·

Amendment 0002 to combined synopsis/solicitation number 11TADG05812.
This amendment (0002) is to answer some questions asked by potential vendors. The questions and answers are as follows:
1. Is and has the waste garnet from TARDEC been classified as hazardous waste when land filled at Liberty? Confirm classification.
Answer: The waste garnet is classified as non hazardous material.
2. Can you supply a current TCLP within two years old as part of the approval process.
Answer: A TCLP has not been conducted in the past two years. TARDEC's HAZMART is the approval authority to conduct a TCLP and may do one upon request.
3. Will you be providing a completed profile of the waste garnet to the bid award party?
Answer: This contracting office will not be provided a completed profile of the waste garnet to the bid award party. However, you may request it through TARDEC's HAZMART at 586-282-5665.
4. I assume TARDEC would not have a problem staging and loading a roll off as part of the waste removal process. The roll off would be removed in 11 ton increments.
Answer: TARDEC does not want to use a roll off system and wants to continue to use a palletized bag system that would require TARDEC to store the bags of used garnet on a pallet and load the palletized bags of used garnet mixture on a flatbed truck for haul away.
5. Please provide us with the protocol or any required documents for proof of proper and legal disposal of government waste?
Answer: Required documents are: Bill of lading for proof of transport and any documentation for recycling/HAZMAT processing.
also, see attached.
