This Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) is not a solicitation for proposals but rather a notification to industry of the Air Force's planned contract action under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12 for commercial items acquisition. The contract falls under NAICS code 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a size standard of $15 million. The Air Force intends to utilize sole source authority under 10 U.S.C. 3572, as Altec Industries is identified as the only known authorized vendor capable of providing manufacturer-approved repair work for the specialized equipment.
The primary purpose of this notice is to inform industry participants of the intended sole source award while potentially identifying other qualified sources and their business size classifications. Interested contractors who believe they can meet all requirements may submit capability statements demonstrating how they can fulfill the repair requirements, with all submissions due by 9:00 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time on July 28, 2025. Responses must be submitted in writing with sufficient detail to allow government representatives to evaluate capabilities and should be sent to the designated contracting points of contact via email. The Air Force emphasizes that no reimbursement will be provided for costs associated with responding to this notice, and requests for inclusion on mailing lists will not be honored. Eligibility requires contractors to demonstrate their ability to provide manufacturer-approved repair services for Altec high reach bucket trucks, with the government reserving the right to evaluate alternative sources that can meet these specialized requirements.
