About this opportunity
Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a cost-plus-fixed-fee task order under The Boeing Company's Corporate Basic Ordering Agreement (N0001926G1002) on a sole-source basis for Leading-Edge Flap rain erosion tape analysis on the F/A-18 aircraft, with responses due by September 15, 2026. This is not a request for proposal and no contract will be awarded based on responses received.
The Government is invoking sole-source authority under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 on the grounds that The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, and integrator of the rain erosion tape for the F/A-18 LEF and possesses the only technical data necessary to fulfill the requirements. The Government does not own a complete F/A-18 drawing package with Government Purpose Rights, making Boeing the sole responsible source.
This presolicitation supersedes prior notice N00019-26-RFPREQ-TPM265-0801 (issued August 14, 2026), which was marked inactive. Inquiries should be directed to Contract Specialist Laurelle Brown-Hill at laurelle.r.brown-hill.civ@us.navy.mil. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact taylor.beitler@boeing.com.
