About this opportunity

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source, Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Delivery Order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integrations for the development of ALE-55 towed decoy systems. These systems are specifically designed for the BQM-34S recoverable, remote-controlled subsonic aerial target and the ALQ-167 pod system for full-scale fixed wing aircraft. The procurement is being conducted under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), which allows for limited competition when only one source can meet agency requirements. Interested parties can submit capability statements to ashley.r.eaton6.civ@us.navy.mil by January 28, 2025, though the government reserves full discretion in determining whether to proceed with competitive procurement.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity. The anticipated contract award is projected for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025, with a delivery timeline of approximately 7 months after contract award. While no specific award value is disclosed, the contract will be executed through the existing Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-22-G-0009. Subcontracting opportunities are available, and interested subcontractors are directed to contact Kim Lafleur, BAE's Subcontracts Manager, at kim.lafleur@baesystems.com.
