About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking proposals for a firm-fixed price services contract to provide fencing and planting services as part of the Deep Horizon Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) effort. The objective is to facilitate the acceleration and/or enhance the recovery of degraded dune systems by re-establishing vegetation diversity, local scale dune connectivity, and landscape dune heterogeneity. Key requirements include supplying and planting native species like Bitter Panicum, Sea Oats, and Beach Elder, as well as installing wheat straw, wrack material, symbolic fencing, and restoration signage. Proposals will be evaluated primarily on technical capability and past performance, with price being less important. Proposals are due by September 12, 2024.
This solicitation is not set-aside for any specific business category. The work will be performed at three focus areas: Perdido Key State Park, Gulf Islands National Seashore - Johnson Beach, and Escambia County Perdido Key Access Points. The period of performance is one base year from October 1, 2024 to April 15, 2025. No specific budget or value range was provided, but the government reserves the right to reject any or all proposals if it is in the public interest to do so.
