About this opportunity
The Fish and Wildlife Service seeks quotations for two 2026 Can-Am Defender side-by-side utility terrain vehicles (one Pro Limited Single Cab and one Max XT Cab) for the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, with quotes due July 20, 2026. No set-aside applies.
Place of performance is Soldotna, Alaska (33398 Ski Hill Road, P.O. Box 2139, zip code 99669). Delivery is required 250 days after receipt of order.
The Pro Limited Single Cab must meet minimum specifications including 80 horsepower, 700-pound cargo box capacity, 1,030-pound payload capacity, 2,500-pound towing capacity, 3-person seating, liquid-cooled 4-cycle gas engine with electronic fuel injection, continuously variable transmission with clutch enclosure, auto-locking front differential, fully independent front and rear suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, power steering, four-wheel drive with dash-activated switch, and greater than 12-inch ground clearance. The Max XT Cab must meet the same engine and drivetrain specifications but with 6-person seating capacity and 1,030-pound payload.
Required accessories for both vehicles include radial tires with aggressive tread, LED headlights and taillights, hydraulic power lift for cargo box, fully pressurized cab with doors, roof, and windshield, HVAC, front brush guard, heavy-duty skid plate, factory-installed winch with remote, and 2-inch hitch receiver.
Evaluation applies three factors: technical acceptability (pass/fail) on compliance with all mandatory requirements, past performance (pass/fail) based on satisfactory performance on similar contracts with no terminations for cause or default within three years, and price reasonableness. Award goes to the lowest-priced offeror whose quotation is technically acceptable. NAICS code 336110. Quotations must be submitted via email to Carter Duke at carter_duke@ios.doi.gov on official business letterhead.
