About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is seeking sources for heavy equipment to be used on Guam and surrounding islands, specifically for airfield damage repair operations. The pre-solicitation notice outlines detailed equipment requirements including an excavator with hydraulic capabilities, compact track loaders, a large wheel loader, dump truck, water skid trailer, and a volumetric concrete mixer. Equipment specifications are precise, requiring specific features such as a minimum lifting capacity of 9,000 lbs, enclosed cab, 4-wheel drive, multiple attachments, and specific operating weights and horsepower ranges. The Sources Sought notice was posted on February 12, 2025, with responses due by February 17, 2025, indicating a short turnaround time for potential vendors to submit their capabilities. The procurement falls under the NAICS category 532412 for Construction, Mining, and Forestry Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing, with a Product Service Code (PSC) of W038 for equipment leasing.

No specific set-aside designations are mentioned in the notice, suggesting the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. The solicitation does not provide specific award values or budget ranges, but requests vendors operating within Guam, Tinian, and Saipan to detail their service locations. The equipment quantities are clearly defined: one excavator with multiple attachments, three compact track loaders with various attachments, one wheel loader, one dump truck, one water skid trailer, and one volumetric concrete mixer. While no specific performance timeline is outlined, the precision of equipment specifications suggests the Air Force has very specific operational requirements for these assets. The procurement appears focused on supporting potential airfield damage repair capabilities in the Pacific region, indicating a strategic military preparedness objective.
