Update #1 ·

Added: May 31, 2016 1:38 pm The U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) Geology, Minerals, Energy, and Geophysics (GMEG) Science Center in Menlo Park, California requires an airborne geophysical survey covering portions of the eastern Mojave Desert using gravity gradient, magnetic, and radiometric methods. The survey area is about 90 km (56 mi) or a 50 minute drive southwest of McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada along Interstate Highway 15 and about 26 km (16 mi) southwest of the Nevada-California border. The survey area will be between approximately 1,800 line-km and 3,500 line-km, depending on budget and proposed pricing. We are open to either fixed-wing or helicopter survey aircraft; we likely prefer the fixed-wing for budgetary reasons, but a helicopter may be necessary due to the rugged terrain in the area.

USGS is contemplating a single, firm-fixed-price contract in accordance with the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 (acquisition of commercial items) and Subpart 13.5 (simplified procedures for certain commercial items). The period of performance is expected to be approximately six (6) months from contract award.

This is not a request for quotations. The request for quotations will be available not sooner than the week of June 20th, 2016. NAICS 541360, geophysical surveying and mapping services. PSC T099, other photographic, mapping, printing, and publication services. This action is unrestricted. There is no incumbent contractor.
