About this opportunity

The Department of the Army is seeking to procure air sampling probe repair services through the United States Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA). This procurement involves repair services for air sampling probes classified under NSN 6665-12-326-6355, which falls under the NAICS category for Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing. The Army intends to award this as a sole source contract under FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source) to Bruker Detection Corporation (CAGE code 360H2), indicating that this vendor is the only responsible source capable of providing the required services. This is designated as a Source Controlled Procurement with no Technical Data Package (TDP) available. The government expects to post the full solicitation within 2 to 4 weeks from the pre-solicitation notice date of July 22, 2025, with responses due by August 6, 2025.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to full and open competition, though the sole source justification indicates Bruker Detection Corporation is the intended awardee. The contract structure will be a 5-year, Firm-Fixed Price requirements-type contract that will establish pricing for air sampling probe repairs over the specified contract period. The government part number for this procurement is 03153, and the acquisition will not utilize FAR Part 12 procedures. No specific award values or budget ranges were disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, though the requirements-type contract structure suggests the actual quantities and frequency of repairs will be determined based on government needs during the contract performance period.
