About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing 120 FUZE assemblies, part number 76965-5, for the Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) weapon system. The FUZE is a critical line replaceable unit (LRU) that sends signals to the Warhead Arming Device upon impact. The purpose of this follow-on contract is to complete the requirement of 542 manufactured FUZEs and ensure installations in the ALCM continue through 2029 without interruption. The contractor must be capable of disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause failure analysis to return unserviceable FUZEs to serviceable condition. Interested companies must provide details on their relevant experience, technical capabilities, quality control programs, and ability to surge production.
This contract opportunity is not set aside for any specific business size or category. The government is encouraging participation from both large and small businesses, as well as joint ventures and teaming arrangements. There is no incumbent contractor identified, and the contract value is not specified. The government requires 120 FUZE assemblies to be delivered to support the ALCM weapon system through 2029.

Platform: Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM)
CAUTION:
This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for the manufacture of 120 FUZE assembly kits. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards as this survey is for planning purposes and may not result in a solicitation or contract. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Attached is the Boeing Fuze Top Drawing, containing a description of the overall performance requirements for the Fuze and a Contractor Capability Survey which allows you to provide your company’s capability.
