About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps is seeking to procure two air compressors and two refrigerated air dryers for replacement of existing equipment at MCB Camp S.D. Butler in Okinawa, Japan. The contractor must provide, install, and commission the new equipment while also disposing of the old equipment and cleaning the work area upon completion. The solicitation includes four contract line items with specific technical requirements: Air Compressor #1 (760L/min, 1.37MPa, 7.5kw), Air Compressor #2 (1200L/min, 0.93MPa, 11.0kw), Refrigerated Air Dryer #1 (900L/min, 1.57MPa, 0.4kw), and Refrigerated Air Dryer #2 (1850L/min, 0.93MPa, 0.6kw). The government will evaluate proposals based on technical acceptability and price, awarding to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government. Following Amendment 0001, contractor questions are due by August 27, 2025 at 1600 JST, with quotes due September 3, 2025 at 1100 JST.
This solicitation does not utilize any set-aside designation and is unrestricted, though small business set-aside options are noted with a NAICS code of 333912 and size standard of 1,000 employees. No current incumbents or contractors are identified in the documentation, though the existing equipment being replaced consists of two IWATA air compressors from 2003. While specific contract values are not disclosed, the solicitation requires comprehensive pricing for all four line items, with the contract to be awarded in aggregate rather than individual items. The equipment will be installed in the Lube Room at Camp Foster Building #5822, with the planned delivery date of September 2, 2025. Contractors must maintain current SAM registration and submit complete technical and pricing information, including compliance documentation, product literature, warranty terms, and performance capabilities.
