About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 502d Contracting Squadron, has issued a Special Notice of Intent to award a non-competitive, sole source contract for AETC CSA IT Support Services. The contract will be awarded to the incumbent contractor, The CENTECH Group, Inc., for a one-year bridge period from 29 March 2025 to 28 March 2026. This notice is being filed under DAFFARS 5302.101 and DAFFARS 5306.303-1-90(a) to prevent a break in critical IT support services. The contract falls under NAICS code 541513 for Computer Facilities Management Services, with a small business size standard of $37.0 million. The notice emphasizes that this is not a solicitation for competitive quotes or proposals, and oral communications will not be accepted.

The primary purpose of this bridge contract is to continue Client Support Administrative Services (CSA) for HQ Air Education and Training Command (AETC) after unexpected procurement delays. Centech Group will provide essential IT infrastructure support services, including network administration for NIPRNet and SIPRNet, audio/video teleconferencing, software license management, and desktop/network administration. The contractor will supply Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to manage IT operations for over 1,300 users, performing tasks such as help desk support, data backup, system monitoring, and patch management. Market research, including a Request for Information that generated 99 responses, informed the decision to pursue this bridge contract. In accordance with FAR part 6, a written justification and approval for this bridge action will be posted within fourteen days after contract award. The total contract value is anticipated to be between $750,000 and $15 million, with the primary objective of allowing the government time to better define requirements and develop a comprehensive acquisition strategy.
